British Motorcycles of the 40's & 50's

British Motorcycles of the 40’s & 50’s was written by the great motorcycle historian Roy Bacon, and published by Osprey Publishing in 1989, with this issue coming out in 1995.
It is an A-Z of these post-war marques, from Aberdale through to Zenith, and is an invaluable guide to the period. Some of these bikes are ephemeral, and a few scarcely made it beyond the prototype stage, but here they all are in some detail, in the vast majority of cases backed by rare photographs, many of which have not been seen elsewhere.
Over 230 pages, wonderful photographs and extensive model charts are contained here, in a book measuring approx. 8”x11”. No-one with an interest in motorcycles should be without this!
