Postwar British Motorcycles

The Hamlyn Guide to Postwar British Motorcycles was written by C J Ayton, and published by Hamlyn in 1982.
It offers the motorcycle enthusiast or historian handy, authoritative reference on 150 bikes that emerged from British factories after 1945, giving brief histories of the makers and honest assessments of the bikes. The famous, of course, are here – AJS, Triumph, Norton, etc. – cheek by jowl with the more obscure – Wooton, Quasar, DMW, to name a few.
In over 160 pages, lavishly illustrated with photographs in black and white as well as full colour. Specification panels are generally provided, too. Measuring 5 ½”x8”, it is as at home in the pocket as on the bookshelf, a knowledgeable companion at shows! No-one with enthusiasm for these lovely, classic British bikes should be without this.
